My Heart is Soaring

When I first got online today, my first thought was "Oh! I wonder if my Aunt Tanya has gotten her internet back yet..." I always love her stories, pictures, and adventures. So I popped on and checked over at The Dairy Wife, and part 2 of the Heddgeville story was up on top. I've already read it - a few times (great story!) - so then I bounced over to The Farmhouse Kids (her original blog) and was tickled pick to see she had a new entry!

She had created a new award.
And so THIS is how blogger awards are born...neat-o! Guess I'd never really thought about it before, but the awards are all created by someone. In this case, my awesome Aunt! I went on to read... and had no idea she was talking about me until the very end!

I sat there with tears in my eyes for several minutes, and all I could say was "Oh, my goodness...! Oh, my goodness...!" It's just now that I'm really able to write anything! It hasn't been since my school days that I've really wondered what others think about me. And now to read something so genuinely wonderful about myself... I'm very honored that this is what someone else thinks of me.

I cannot say thank you enough to you, Tanya. Thank you for the beautiful things you said about me. Thank you for seeing me in a way that I never knew anyone would! Thank you for your beautiful award you created. And thank you for the beautiful quote as well...

Compassion is the ultimate and most meaningful embodiment of emotional maturity. It is through compassion that a person achieves the highest peak and deepest reach in his or her search for self-fulfillment. --Arthur Jersild

I'm already thinking about who all I want to pass this award on to as well. There were several that came to mind right off the bat...! I'll pass it on to the first of my 3 tomorrow - today, I'm going to cherish the award to sweetly given to me by my Aunt - The Dairy Wife!

Congratulations on your award!
It is beautiful and what Tanya said about you made me curious to come and visit by using the link she included.

Blogging has introduced me to many great women [and one man] who I would never have been introduced to with out it. I look forward to reading some more when I have more time, so I will be back! Again, congratulations.

Wow! Thanks for the kind words. I'm almost embarrassed.

I do have to tell you something. What prompted me ... I read your entire blog last night.

You're just running full steam ahead in life, leaps and bounds, and heading down the right path with some really good morals. I'm just so proud of you and I really do love you very much. I'm proud to be your Aunt.

Love, Tan

Amanda, this is absolutely beautiful. Your Aunt has honoured you and everything you do in such a wonderful way.

I went and visited her blog and now I will be a regular visitor to it. I love the blogging world and learning about the lives of people who have so much to give and teach. I think the idea of creating a blogger award is awesome and I admire her creativity.
