Babypalooza Fun

Today my friend Jamie & I took our little gals out to the Babypalooza out at Deaconess - The Women's Hospital. It was tons of fun, and the weather was great for being outside! Just a bit breezy, but not too terribly bad.

There were so many awesome booths there at the Babypalooza - one in particular REALLY caught our eyes!

They're all about creating bows, clothing, accessories, and gifts for our little Princesses and us Mommies!! Jamie & I both splurged a little and got our little girls these SUPER cute little hair accessories - Olivia got this sweet little crocheted hat thing with a gorgeous bow on it, and Livie got a couple of crocheted headbands with beautiful bows on them as well.

Now, I've gone back to edit this - some of you may have noticed. I think I may have confused Baby & Me Designs with Miss Priss Creations... I'm not exactly sure how that happened! Anyway, I already have several cute little bows from the two companies. Miss Priss Creations are sold in various shops around our area - one being Bearly Broken In. (One of my favorite re-sale shops)

Miss Priss Creations.

If you take a look at both websites, you can probably see why I got a little confused... They both have SUCH beautiful designs & creations for little girls - I just eat 'em up!

While we were there at the Babypalooza, I got a gentle reminder of a really awesome local group I really need to be getting more involved in:
EvansvilleMoms.com is an awesome online community that keeps everyone 'in the know' about upcoming events & fun stuff for (you guessed it...) us Moms! Up til now, I really hadn't been all that involved with the group online or in real life. I'm making a promise to myself right here and now, though - that's gonna change!

The Head Mom - Amy - is so awesome. She's sweet, fun, and nice as she can be. There are so many great reasons for me to be a part of this group - both online and in the real world. The community is a lot like myspace... except that it's just for Moms, and there's no freak-oids for me to be scared of. (Stranger Danger! That's where Liv gets it... From me!) The website has forums, event announcements, community info, and of coarse blogging. Does that mean I'll be spending less time here?

I don't think so! I'm in the process of figuring it out, but from what I've heard the site allows you to RSS feed other blogs into it.

So, if there are any of you that are from around the area, I absolutely recommend checking out EvansvilleMoms.com - and if you're not from Evansville, check out Imoms.com - which features a few of these Mom's.com groups. Hopefully one will be from around where you are!

Even if you don't have a 'moms.com' group around where you live, chances are that there is/are one or more groups similar to this. It's SUCH a great way to get to know others within your community, and it'll give you reasons to get out into the community. Much love to you all and God Bless!

you are so thoughtful to share your special finds. i was a hair-bow mom back in the day. honestly, from the day she left the hospital (katherine has always had a head FULL of hair) until she started 7th grade katherine wore a hair-bow!!! it was so funny; around the time she turned 2 she would automatically feel the top of her head to make sure she had one in her hair before she would walk out the door:D i miss those days...
love and hugs,
dani xx

Ya know I am 99.9% sure that is where my mom and I purchased a lot of the Princesses bows and bow holder back in December. I remember the name b/c I fell in love with it!
I actually did a post today where I featured her bows and the bow holder. I have got to purchase another one so badly. I can no longer fit all of the bows on that one holder!
Those hats with the bows are at the boutiques too. I have been in love with them for a long time! That is one of the many reasons I want a baby girl!! lol

Hi Amanda

I have also recently bought some gorgeous little bows for Sav. So far I haven't had much success at getting them to stay in, but we're working on it! I checked out the Miss Priss creations website and I can see why this booth would have stopped you in your tracks. They have the sweetest, most adorable bows.

The mum.com group sounds awesome. What a great way to start new friendships and get out and about to all sorts of events. Livia will also love meeting new friends.

Love and hugs
